Present Education Terms of Service
October 26, 2026
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Present Education.
By creating an account, starting a trial, redeeming a class code, or using Present Education, you agree to these Terms.
Educational Use
Present Education provides curriculum and classroom tools for educational use. Teachers are permitted to use materials only for their personal classrooms.
Teachers and school personnel may invite students to Present Education only when their school or educational organization has authorized the use of Present Education and they are authorized to invite those students.
Where applicable law permits a school or educational organization to authorize an educational technology service on behalf of parents, Present Education may rely on that authorization to provide the educational services approved by the school, including services provided to students under the age of 13.
Present Education does not use children's information collected through school-authorized use for targeted advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.
Users are responsible for following their school's applicable technology, curriculum, and student privacy policies. Students may not create, attempt to create, or use a teacher account, misrepresent themselves as a teacher or other school personnel, or attempt to access features designated for teachers or administrators without authorization from their school or educational organization.
Accounts
Users must provide accurate account information and may access only accounts they are authorized to use.
Present Education may use Google or another supported authentication provider to verify user identity.
Users may not impersonate another person, share accounts inappropriately, or attempt to bypass account, organization, course, enrollment, licensing, or administrative restrictions. This includes student attempts to access features designated for teachers or administrators without authorization from their school or educational organization.
Class Codes
Teachers may receive class codes that allow students to join authorized courses.
Class codes should be shared only with the students for whom they are intended.
Users may not publish, sell, scrape, misuse, or intentionally use class codes to gain unauthorized access to another classroom or course.
Trials
Present Education may offer teachers free trials.
Trials may be limited by time, available courses, number of students, or other reasonable restrictions disclosed when the trial begins.
The expiration of a trial may suspend access to curriculum without immediately deleting the associated account or classroom information.
If the teacher or school later obtains eligible access, existing classroom information may be restored where available.
Student Privacy
Use of student information is governed by the Present Education Privacy Policy and, where applicable, an agreement between Present Education and the student's school or educational organization.
Present Education does not sell student personal information or use student information for targeted advertising.
Acceptable Use
Users may not:
- access or attempt to access another person's or organization's information without authorization;
- circumvent security or access controls;
- interfere with the operation of the service;
- introduce malicious software;
- use student information for harassment, discrimination, advertising, or other unauthorized purposes;
- use Present Education in violation of applicable law; or
- reproduce or commercially distribute Present Education curriculum except as permitted by the applicable license.
Curriculum and Intellectual Property
Present Education and its licensors retain their rights in Present Education curriculum, software, designs, media, and other protected materials.
Access to Present Education grants a limited right to use the applicable materials for authorized educational purposes during the period of authorized access.
It does not transfer ownership of the curriculum or software.
Suspension or Termination
Present Education may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of:
- expiration of authorized access;
- misuse of the service;
- a security concern;
- violation of these Terms;
- unlawful activity; or
- lack of required school or organizational authorization.
Student information following termination will be handled according to the Present Education Privacy Policy and any applicable school agreement.
Changes to the Service
Present Education may improve, update, or modify its services over time.
We will not use changes to the service to materially expand the use of school-controlled student information in a manner inconsistent with our Privacy Policy, applicable school agreements, or applicable law.
Disclaimer
Present Education is an educational curriculum service. It is not a student information system, grading service, legal service, or emergency service.
The service is provided subject to any warranties contained in an applicable agreement between Present Education and a school or educational organization.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Present Education and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of, inability to use, or reliance on Present Education, including loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of educational materials, interruption of instruction, or loss of business opportunities.
